Armenia - Hayrivank

Hayrivank is on the western shore of lake Sevan. It consists of a 9th century church, a gavit of the 12th century (with its interior walls covered with carved crosses) and a small chapel. Several lovely khachkars are scattered around the buildings. The setting near the lake in a relatively isolated place is attractive, and my pictures, taken under the harsh mid-day sun, barely do justice to the monastery.
