Erebuni is the original site of the Urartian city which became Yerevan. A cuneiform inscription dating from 782BC was discovered there in 1950 while excavating a monastery. It states that king Argrishti built a fortress on this hill and named it Erebuni. The remains are not very impressive, but the museum is pretty interesting.
